Funny Anniversary:-)

Morning everyone, so how was your Bank Holiday weekend? It went far too fast for me....... Hubby was working on Saturday so we crammed lots of gardening and DIY into Sunday/Monday. So as the weekend went so fast and was so busy not much crafting happened:-( Anyway as I have not long had the blog I have lots of cards I've made over the past couple of months, today's card is an anniversary card I made for my parents. Hope you like it.......

The image is a digi stamp from https://bugaboostamps.3dcartstores.com/ They are from the Stella/Gus range. They do a large range of Digi stamps for all occasions and age ranges. With this stamp I also got the sentiment.... The backing paper used is from the magnolia collection.

I used a die cut from Docrafts to cut the sentiment and mirri card into the star shape.

Down the side of the card I added 3 buttons and in the centre of the added heart shaped gems.

At the bottom I used a silver ribbon that looks like a link chain, at the knot I have added a jump ring and attached the heart charm. Both are from hobbycraft.

I hope you like the card and thanks for stopping by

Hugs

Swalk for a special friend

Hi again, today I have tried to get organized for my friends birthday at the beginning of next month. We have been friends for nearly 13 years and she turns 40 on september 8th. As my children don't go back to school until the 7th September and we are going out for her birthday on the 8th I thought I'd be ready. (only present and godmother card to make from my daughter now!!!!!)

I have picked one of the latest swalk stamps to use, 'you deserve a treat'.

I have coloured the image with speccies and stamped the image twice to decoupage the book chocolates and wine glass. I have also used the copic clear glitter pen over the wine glass to give a sparkle.

I have used all card stock from crafters companion, the card base was made with centura pearl snow white and the brown and pink card was core'dinations. I  made the rosette myself for a sentiment to go in the middle, again made from core'dination card then sprayed with silver spray and sparkle. The sentiment was from a digi download.

The rose is made from my craft studio rose template, then srayed with the same glitter again. The mini roses are from a purchase made on e-bay.

The insert was made with help from 'the ultimate verse insert designer' cd-rom, then I used a couple of stamps on the bottom. The bottle and glass are from the same stamp plate as the main image, then the present is from a popcorn stamp sheet.

The last few items on the card are card candi, and a sheet of chocolate card from 'the sweet matstack' from DCVW. I added a  couple of gems just to finish the design off.

I hope you like the design, and come back again soon

Hugs

Humphrey!!!!!!
(but not the new ones)

Today I have used the 'friends forever' Humphrey stamp. The image was stamped on to neenah card with tuxedo black memento ink. The backing paper is from the forever friends 6x6 paper stack 'For you'. I have had printed the sentiment from my computer.

I have used spectrum noir pens to colour the image. I have gone for a very simple card today as had lots of washing and other boring stuff to do:-(. I hope you are all having a lovely day and the weather is better than it is here. Need some more sun to cheer everything up a bit......

Thanks for stopping by

SWALK today:-)

I've gone back to one of my older Swalk stamps today, I love this image as it is so useful. This stamp works for both male and female, this card has been made for a female who is leaving her job. The Swalk range is from crafters companion.

Again I have used spectrum noir pens to colour the image. The papers I have used are core'dinations for the block of colour in the layers, and the patterned papers are from the swalk cd-rom2. I have used a Martha Stewart punch down the side of the patterned paper for details.

Again I have used the core'dinations card to make the larger paper rose, the smaller roses I purchased on e-bay.

Inside the card I have made an insert, with a verse and in the corner I have used another stamp from the same stamp plate to complete the design.

Thanks for taking time to look at my blog, and I hope you will come back again soon

16th August 11

Happy Tuesday everyone:-)

Well today's card is a silver wedding anniversary card, I've made this one from my Mum and Dad, to send to my Mum's youngest brother and his wife. I have decided to make an easel card, it needs to be flat as it has got to be sent from Kent to Cornwall.

For the stopper I have used the linking rings stamp again, these are the ones from the wedding card yesterday. I have used spectrum noir to give them a silver look. I have stuck them with collall 3D glue so they can be raised at an angel.

The stamp is from LOTV, this one is called 'together forever' in the occasion's range. I have used spectrum noir from Crafters Companion. I used black memento to stamp the image.

Last but not least I have used white linen card from the paper mill for the card base, silver mirri to layer, and the patterned paper is vintage shabby from Tim Holts idea-ology range. I have added the glitter with a glue pen and the glitter used is glamour dust.

I hope you like the card and are enjoying your day

Monday 15th August 11

Wow where did that time go!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been trying to update for ages, what a week last week was. Hubby was poorly so I spent the week feeling like I had 4 children rather than 3 lol. Well this week is going to be better and less manic ( well I hope anyway).
Today my 2 girls have decided to finish there holiday homework and my son is watching horrid Henry and winding up the dog, so I have at least got 5 minutes to update you here and add the wedding card I got asked to make by one of my Mum's friend's. It's for her Daughter who gets married on Saturday. The theme is butterflies, and the colour scheme is hot pink and black..... This is my card and box, hope you like it

This is the lid of the box, I have decorated it to match the card inside

I have used butterfly velum to wrap around the card inside the box

I used an embossing folder with centura pearl snow white card to create texture

This stamp is a free one I got from C&C a member free gift.
I just added a few gems for affect.

Inside I layered the verse on to the pink and black card as
the card is an 8x8 and my printer is only an A4, so I can't do
a traditional opening insert on this size.

Again I used the stamp and butterfly to follow the design through out.

I hope you all have a fab day and thanks for stopping by

3rd August 2011

Morning all, I hope you are all enjoying the fab weather. I had a lovely day out yesterday with my kids and some friends. We had a picnic and the children all had a paddle in the outdoor pool.

Today I want to show you a card I made for my husband for his birthday, he wanted a 'decent' bbq for his birthday so me and my parents all put in and got him his bbq. So in honour of his present I thought I would do a card to match!!!!!

The card is made in an 8x8 size, the papers are from a Kanban cd rom, the bbq image is a digi stamp from teddy bo and coloured in with promarkers.

Have a lovely day everyone xxx
